Hi-Lo is a card-guessing streak game: you see one card and call whether the next will be higher or lower. Every correct call multiplies your running total, and you can cash out at any point or keep pushing toward 1,000,000.00x.
Unlike most guessing games, Hi-Lo gives you real information. The current card tells you exactly how the odds are weighted — calling higher on a 2 is nearly safe, calling higher on a king is not — and the multiplier offered for each direction reflects that. Reading the card before choosing is the whole skill.
The payout offered for each direction moves with the card on screen. Low cards make "higher" the likely call and pay accordingly little; middling cards split the odds close to evenly and pay more on both sides. Taking the favourable side of an extreme card is the closest Hi-Lo comes to an edge — and it is already priced in.
Multipliers compound, so a long streak is worth far more than the sum of its calls — and one wrong call takes all of it. Deciding on a streak length or multiplier target before you start, then taking it, is the difference between a banked win and a story about one.
Cards are drawn per round from the seed pair and nonce. There is no depleting shoe to count, so the composition of previous draws does not shift the odds of the next.
No betting system changes the house edge. Set a budget before you start, keep individual stakes small against your balance, and stop if it stops being entertainment.
